 wife ELIZABETH WEST CARLTON 607 acres my home plantation or house lot lying on both sides of Stewards Creek, negroes Ben, Bildad, Julia, Silva & Susan, all stock of horses, cattle, hogs & sheep, my saddles & bridles, all money, notes & accounts except $300, all my crops & all my Books requesting her to give my relation THOMAS CARLTON some of them;

 MARY, my nephew ISAAC CARLTON'S wife, money from the sale of 150 acres lying on Murrays branch near Beasley's mill pond;

 MARY E., dau. of ISAAC & MARY CARLTON $300;

 nephew JESSE CARLTON negro Irvin or money from his sale;

 nephew HARDY CARLTON, JUNR. negro Sam;

 niece TEMPY, wife of MURPHEY LENYEAR negro Joe;

 niece NANCY, wife of GEORGE ALDERMAN negro Nance;

 niece PHEBE, wife of SHADRCH WELLS negro Jinney;

 JOHN CARLTON, THOMAS CARLTON, RACHEL ROGERS, ANN GILSTRAP & LYDIA MATTIS each a share of the land formerly belonging to my Father in law THOMAS CARLTON & MARTHA they being the sons and Daughters of the aforesaid

 THOMAS & MARTHA; brothers DAVID, ISAAC, LEWIS and HARDY money from the sale of 200 acres on the warters of the Persimmon called the Mallard tract, 50 acres called the JOHN SELLERS tract & 263 acres called the JACOB MATTHIS tract;

 wife ELIZABETH Household & kitchen Furniture, Farming utentials, tools of all kinds, waggons and carte geer, grindstone; 750 acre Red house tract to be sold and money to be divided into 4 shares; 1/4 to JAMES PEARSAL, JEREMIAH PEARSAL, JAMES MIDDLETON, JOHN FURLOW & JAMES LARKIN Trustees in trust to erect and build a Meeting hous or place of worship for the use of the congregation of the Methodist Episcopal Church on a lot of ground given me for that purpose; 1/4 to the Treasurer of the missionary society of the methodist episcopal Church for the spread of the gospel amongst the heathen; 1/4 to the N. C. annual conference of the methodist episcopal Church for the support of the superanuated preachers & the poor widows of said conference; 1/4 put out at Interest forever & the Interest to be appropriated and applied annually for the purpose of educating the poor children that appears to have no other way or means of being educated within a circle of at least six miles every way around the meeting house lot
