GEORGE MILLER LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT




 In the name of God, Amen I George Miller of the County of Jones and the State of North Carolina being sick of body but in perfect mind and memory, and calling to mind the mortality of my body and that this is to be my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following Viz:

 Item– I do lend to my beloved wife Elizabeth Miller all my Estate real, personal of every kind whatsoever during her natural life except such as herein after other ways disband of:

 Item I give and bequeath to my step Daughter Nancy Miller one three year old heifer and side saddle to her and her heirs forever.

 Item I give and bequeath to my son Stephen Miller ten pounds current money to be raised of the sale of part of my stock in full of his legacy.

 Item I give and bequeath to my Daughter Sarah Houston one Negro woman named Joyce to her , her heirs and assigns forever.

 Item I give and bequeath to my Daughter Mary Houston one Negro man named Henry, to her, her heirs and assigns forever.

 Item After my just debts be paid, funeral expense paid, I give and bequeath that part of my estate left to my beloved wife during her life, after her decease to be equally divided between my Daughter Sarah Houston and Mary Houston, to them, their heirs and assigns forever

 Lastly I constitute and appoint my trusty friends Jacob Johnston and Amos Johnston, Esq.. Executors to this my Last Will and Testament In Testimony whereof I do hereunto set my hand and seal the 24th day of February in the year of our Lord One thousand and eight hundred and one.

 This was the a forgoing Last Will and testament of George Miller, dec. duly proved in this open Court the Oaths of William Kinsey and Joseph Sanders, two of the subscribing Witness thereto agreeable to Law and Ordered to be recorded----------- the Executors not appearing at this term to quality Letters not granted Atty. Wm Onone C.C.
