GREEN Family in Duplin County bef 1800! Looking for information on the GREEN Family of Duplin County. Thomas GREEN, b. ca. 1715/20, d. ca. 1800, was in Duplin County by 1770/1780. I am sure he had a son named John. He transferred land to John in the 1770/1780 time frame. Lott GREEN was b. ca. 1760/1766, poss. in Duplin County and was poss the son of John. John and Thomas made a deed to Lott ca. 1800. Lott was married to Sarah ?? (DAVIS) ?? (FUSSELL)?? ca. 1785. He had a dau (Martha) b. ca. 1786/87, a son (Samuel) b. ca. 1788, a dau (Rebecca) b. ca. 1790, a dau (Elizabeth) b. ca. 1792, a dau (Ann) b. ca. 1795, and a son (James) b. ca. 1798. Lott died in 1829 (will prob. May 1829) in Duplin County. Ann married Stephen WILLIAMS and Elizabeth married Isaac BROWN. The other two daus never married. All were in Marion County GA bef 1840 with the exception of Ann. Have not identified her to date. Samuel married Catherine "Lettie" ???? and James married Nancy ????. I know there are other GREEN families in Duplin County and feel sure that they are related. It is strange that many of them are omitted form the Census. I am sure that Lott's family left there after 1830 and arrived in GA soon after 1830. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am anxious to find descendants of the GREEN families of Duplin County.

Looking for info on John BLANTON of Duplin County, NC. He is in Duplin county as early as 1779 where he signed a petition to divide Bladen, Duplin, and New Hanover Counties, along with James BLANTON. In 1783 John bought land from James RAWLINS on Doctors Creek, a branch of Rockfish. This deed was witnessed by Daniel ALDERMAN. In the 1784-86 Duplin County census record he list himself, 7 males, 4 females. He could have been born around 1740 and married abt 1760(just a guess as he had 10 children by 1784. He was bond for the marriage of Joshua BLANTON to Mary ALDERMAN. The last record I have for him in Duplin is in 1810. Anyone know what happened to him, who his children were, and etc. Jeanie

There was a James MOORE and a John MOORE, both of whom served during the Rev. War. James was married to an IVEY; don't know wife of John. When did they die and did they leave wills? I am searching for the parentage of Elizabeth -?- who m1 William WILKINSON; m2 Mark RUSSELL 1803 in Cumberland Co. IF Elizabeth was a MOORE, it's posssible that she was married on or about 1 Feb 1788 in Duplin Co to Wm. WILKINSON. Wm WILKINSON died late 1798 or early 1799 in New Hanover Co. "My" William WILKINSON was a full brother to Jehu/ John WILKINSON, the third husband of Barbara BONEY. Any help with this problem will be very much appreciated and I thank you most sincerely. Seeking information for Jehu/John WILKINSON, third husband of Barbara BONEY. Interested in the fact that he's call "Doctor" in NC. At the erection of St. Mary Parish, LA., Jehu was named as the first judge of that parish. He also served one term in the LA House of Representatives. Jehu had at least one full sibling, William WILKINSON, in NC at the same time as he. Were there other siblings as well? [I have records that place him in Duplin Co.] Any help with the WILKINSON family will be very much appreciated. Thank you. Margaret Miller
