They had Buchanna, Cora Dunn (Joseph Dunn), John Thomas, Laura A.Coats(Rouden Coats), Annie maybe Taylor, by the second md. Jodie, Sara, Hank, Orxie. The last group is only by a ?. My guess is that John could be the son or grandson of John and Jean Kenan Hill of Duplin Co. Because he lived close to Dr. Bucker Hill in Wayne and Duplin. Any help is more than welcome. I'm very interested in contacting ANY descendants of James David SWINSON and Della Louise CASTEEN in regards to an ongoing Swinson family genealogy search. James and Della resided in both Onslow and Duplin Counties as far as I know. Myself and several others are attempting to compile an in-depth Swinson publication concerning the children of Jesse SWINSON and Calestia Ann BATTS. We'd love to hear from you. Chris Swinson

I just have a question. I don't know who my birth parents are but I was born in Duplin County on 7-11-1964. My parents were both red or auburn haired and were both in their twenties when I was born. I was adopted at the age of six weeks and was staying in a foster home (?) of an older couple. I do know that my maternal grandfather was an alcoholic and my maternal uncle was mentally challenged. If you can help me, it would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you, Alicia Isley Swofford

I am researching the WILLIAM BRUMLEY (b.1780 NC) line. His wife HETTY or HETTA (b. 1788 NC) said to be a Counts. I have located the KHUINCE family in the 1790 census, ie CHRISTOPHER, GEORGE JR., and SR., JOHN JR. and SR., and PHILLIP. I believe this family later moved to Grainger Co., TN. Any information connecting HETTY to them will be appreciated.

I am looking for information about the community of Hallsville. I believe we can trace my great-grandfather, Amos William HALL to the town, but I am not sure yet. I saw a listing on www.familysearch.org that said there was a Hall Family cemetary there too. If anyone knows where I might find this, and if I can get to it, please let me know. Thanks
