Looking for the parents of Martha Adline BELL, b. 5 Jun 1840, Duplin Co., NC, d. 16 Feb 1920, Wayne Co, NC, who married Garry Bright DRAUGHON. A search on the FamilySearch site showed her parents as John DIXON, b. ca 1808 in Kenansville, and Margaret Jane BELL, b. ca 1810 in Duplin Co. There are 5 children in all listed, all with the BELL surname, although the father listed is John DIXON. Can anyone shed some light on this family?

Looking for more information about the families of John MCLEMORE and Sarah MORGAN, both born in the early 1820s, in or around Duplin County, NC. They later settled in Decatur County, GA where they can be found on the 1850 census. They moved onward to Newton County, TX, and John and his children can be located there on the 1860 census. Sarah Morgan had presumably died enroute, and John remarried Sarah Ann BOYETT in 1859. John and Sarah Ann settled in Jasper County, TX, where they both died in the 1890s. John and Sarah Morgans descendants settled in Sabine County, TX, where many still live today. Melinda McLemore Strong
