The 1800 Duplin County census shows a James PRICE aged 26-45 with a male -10, 2 females -10 and 1 female 16-26. This fits the family of a James PRICE who was in Barnhart Dist., SC, by 1804 and had added 3 more sons to his household. Also, there was a Leven PRICE in Duplin County. This name (Leven) also shows up as a grandson to the James PRICE who matches the 1800 Duplin County Jaanes PRICE, who died in Alabama in 1844. Is anyone familiar with this PRICE family in 1800 Duplin County, NC? Would very much appreciate any info on these PRICES. The sons of James PRICE were named Reuben PRICE, James L. PRICE, John Rion PRICE and William PRICE. Daughters were Nancy PRICE CHITTY and (possibly) Mary PRICE. The wife of Jame PRICE was Mary (unknown) PRICE. I am interested in the James MURRAY whose deed to William EVANS was witnessed by Thomas MURRAY on 9 June 1757.(New Hanover Book D, p305.) Also, the Thomas MURRAY who lived in the New Hanover, Onslow, Duplin area (Holly Shelter and Angola Creeks) at this time. Particularly, anything about Thomas's antecedents and relations. What is the link between Thomas and James? For that matter, with which James MURRAY is Thomas linked, and how many of them were there? I find reference to as many as 3 Jameses (besides the Loyalist) in this general area at about the same time.
