Know all men by these presents that I Patience Pipkin widow of the late
Daniel Pipkin deceased do nominate and appoint John W. Pipkin of the County
of Harnett and State of North Carolina my lawful attorney to collect for
me from the Clerk and master in Equity in the County of Cumberland and
State of North Carolina and Mark Keithley Admr of Steward Pipkin of the
County of Duplin and State of North Carolina all my interest in the estate
of the late Stewart Pipkin dec'd the Brocher? of my late husband Daniel Pipkin
deceased I do hereby appoint the said John W. Pipkin to collect and receipt
for me all monies due me from the said estate of Steward Pipkin dec'd and
all his accts in that matter shall be binding

In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the 9th
day of April AD 1859

Then came before me Benjamin F. Shaw Clerk of the Court of Pleas and
Quarter Sessions and for the County of Harnett North Carolina Patience
Pipkin and acknowledged the execution of this power of attorney
