Obituary of William Wright Cottle ~ 1976

William Wright Cottle, 50, of Route 4, Dunn, died Sunday night in Betsy 
Johnson Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.
He was born in Jones County and was an employee of White Mobile Homes in 
Fayetteville as a truck driver.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Sansom Community Chapel 
Church, south of Dunn. Rev. Jerome Pope and Rev. Edward Lee will officiate 
and burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Erma L. Cottle; one son, Jimmy W. Cottle of 
Route 2, Dunn; two daughters, Mrs. Donnie (Barbara) Stone of Route 4, 
Dunn, and Mrs. Donnie (Christine) Byrd of Route 1, Linden; his father 
and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Cottle of Route 1, Erwin; six 
brothers, James, Charles and Harold Cottle of Dunn, C. M. of Norfolk, 
Va., Melvin of Chespeake, Va., and Herman Cottle of Mt. Morris, Pa.; 
five sisters, Mrs. Mellie Brown of Cape Charles, Va., Mrs. Roberta Vann 
of Erwin, Mrs. Clara Mae Hamilton of Chesapeake, Va., Mrs. Joan Rowland 
of Dunn, Mrs. Doris Williams of Fayetteville; also five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Cromartie-Pearsall Funeral Home 7 to 
9 tonight.
