Obituary of William Jerry Southerland ~ 1968

Wallace - William Jerry Southerland, 79, died Thursday at his home.
He was a native of Duplin County, a lifelong resident of the Teachey 
Community, a retired farmer and a member of the Island Creek Baptist 
Church.
Mr. Southerland is survived by his widow, Mrs. Estelle Teachey 
Southerland; one daughter, Mrs. Jerry Martin, Wallace; three sisters, 
Mrs. Cliff Ramsey and Mrs. Pearlie Rivenbark, Wallace and Mrs. George 
Bailey, Verona; one brother, James Southerland of Kinston; five 
grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 p. m. from Edgerton Funeral 
Chapel with Rev. T. B. Deese and Rev. L. W. Whitlock officiating. 
Burial will follow in the Pin Hook Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Gaither Gurganus, Forrest Teachey, Pat Southerland, 
Ronald Rivenbark, Tommy Carter, Donald Rivenbark.
