Obituary of William Raeford Albertson ~ 1985

Harrells - William Raeford Albertson, age 74, of Route 1, Harrells, died 
early Tuesday morning at New Hanover Memorial Hospital in Wilmington 
after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Edgerton Funeral 
Chapel in Wallace, conducted by the Rev. Jim Bailey. 
Burial will follow in Rockfish Memorial Cemetery near Wallace.
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Charlie (Norma) Lanier of Harrells; 
four brothers, Drew Albertson, Milton Albertson, Tommy Albertson and 
Clayton Albertson, all of Harrells; two nephews, Jimmy Albertson of 
Willard and Harry Albertson of Harrells; two great-nieces, Miss Christy 
Albertson and Miss Kellen Albertson, both of Willard; and one 
great-nephew, Michael Albertson of Harrells.
A native of Sampson County, Mr. Albertson was the son of the late Owen 
and Lula Cottle Albertson and was a retired farmer.
Casketbearers will be Jimmy Murphy, Edward Bowen, Jack Bowen, Henry 
Matthews, Charles Knowles and Milton Wells.
The family received at the funeral home from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday 
and will be at their residence, Route 1, Harrells, other times.
