Obituary of Sudie Ellen Carter Cavenaugh ~ 1979

Wallace - Mrs. Sudie Ellen Carter Cavenaugh, 83, of Rt. 2, Wallace, died 
unexpectedly Monday afternoon at her home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Northeast 
Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Billy Toler. 
Burial will follow in Cavenaugh Cemetery.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Linton (Katie Ellen) Cantrell of Wallace; 
one son, Garland Cavenaugh of Wallace; one sister, Lena Brown of Wallace; 
one brother, Pete Carter of Wallace; eight grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren.
A native of Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late Kenchen and 
Nancy Rivenbark Carter, and the widow of Daniel Cavenaugh. She was a 
member of the Northeast Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church.
Casketbearers will be Harvie Carter, Harvey Rivenbark, Ray Teachey, Dewey 
Carter, Stanley Cavenaugh and Aaron Cavenaugh.
The family will be at the Linton Cantrell residence, Rt. 2, Wallace.
The body will be taken from the Edgerton Funeral Home in Wallace to the 
church at 12 noon Wednesday to lie in state one hour prior the service.
