Obituary of Sudie Walker Cavenaugh ~ 1972

Wallace - Mrs. Sudie Walker Cavenaugh died Friday morning at Cornelia 
Nixon Davis Nursing Home in Wilmington. She was 85.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Sharon Baptist 
Church in Chinquapin by the Rev. Edwin Carroll, the Rev. J.W. Bock, and 
the Rev. Stacey Lanier Jr. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Norma C. Fussell of Teachey, Mrs. 
Beatrice Rivenbark of Wallace, Mrs. Hazel Jenkins of Wilmington; four 
sons, Elbert, Dewey, J. C., and Frank Cavenaugh, all of Wilmington; two 
brothers, J. D. Walker of Wilmington, and Marshall Walker of Wallace; 
nineteen grandchildren, and seventeen great grandchildren, one great great 
grandchild.
Visitation will be at Edgerton Funeral Home until 12:30 p.m. Sunday when 
the body will be taken to the church. The family will be at the Lester 
Fussell residence, Rt. 1 Teachey. They will receive friends at the Funeral 
Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
Active pallbearers will be Roy Lanier, Stevie Rivenbark, Bruce Cavenaugh, 
Jeff Cavenaugh, Jimmy Cavenaugh, and Glynn Cavenaugh.
