Samuel McDonald Cavanaugh, 77, of 104 S. 27th St., formerly of Wallace, 
died Jan. 3, 2005.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Bethel Wesleyan Church. Dr. Roland 
Cavanaugh officiating. Burial will follow in the Cavenaugh Cemetery.
Cavanaugh was born in Duplin County. He was the son of the late Roland and
Vada Hanchey Cavanaugh. He worked as a pharmacist in Rose Hill for many 
years.
Surviving are a daughter, Carol C. Henderson and her husband, Michael J., 
of Teachey; four sons, Samuel L. Cavanaugh and his wife, Sandra, of 
Wallace, David W. Cavanaugh, and his wife, Linda, of Lumberton, Dr. Roland
E. Cavanaugh, and his wife, Cindy, of Thomasville, and Scott Cavanaugh and 
his wife, Kelly, of Cleveland, Tenn.; two sisters, Ruby Holton of Richmond,
Va. and Willie C. Wells of Raeford; and six grandchildren.
Casketbearers will be Austin Cavanaugh, Eric Davis, Jason Henderson, Andy 
Cavenaugh, Gary Wells and Delwood Raynor.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Padgett Funeral 
Home at 401 W. Main St., Wallace, and other times at the residence of Mr. 
and Mrs. Samuel L. Cavanaugh, 196 Hanchey Road, Wallace.
