Obituary of Sadie Lee Cavenaugh Yopp ~ 1984

Wilmington, N.C. - Mrs. Sadie Lee Yopp, 63, of 2017 Farley Drive, 
Wilmington, N.C., died at her home Friday morning after an extended 
illness.
Mrs. Yopp was born in Brunswick County, on November 6, 1920, the daughter 
of the late Jacob Woodley and Fannie Ella Lawhorn Cavenough. She was a 
member of the Murraysville Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, John A. Yopp, Jr. of the home; a son, John A. 
Yopp, III of Wilmington, N.C.; a daughter, Mrs. Emily Y. Cobb of Dallas, 
Texas; two brothers, Johnny Earl Cavenough of Winnabow, N.C. and Louis 
Adolf Cavenough of Fayetteville, N.C.; three sisters, Mrs. Luther D. 
(Magnolia) Mintz and Mrs. James W. (Ida Mae) Guthrie, both of Wilmington,
N.C. and Mrs. Rufus (Mary Pearle) Bonham of Rocky Point, N.C.; two 
half-sisters, Mrs. Carrie Watkins and Miss Nolan Cavenough, both of 
Wilmington, N.C.; five grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday in Coble's Oleander 
Chapel with the Rev. B.A. Porter officiating. 
Interment will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Coble's Oleander Chapel between 5 and 
6 p.m. Sunday.
