Wallace - Roland Oscar Cavenaugh, 79, of Wallace died early Tuesday
morning in a Kenansville hospital.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the Edgerton
Funeral Chapel by the Rev. J. D. Brown and the Rev. David Conert.
Burial will be in Cavenaugh Cemetery, Wallace.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Vada Cavenaugh of the home; two daughters,
Mrs. James Wells of Wallace and Mrs. Frank Holden of Richmond, Va.; four
sons, Chalres of Thomasville, Sam of Rose Hill, Frank and R. C., both of
Wallace; 21 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
A native of Duplin County, Cavenaugh was a retired farmer and a lifelong
resident of the Northeast Community.
Pallbearers will be Hezzie Cavenaugh, Jimmy Cavenaugh, D. B. Wells,
Richard Batts, William Cavenaugh and Dewey English.
Honorary pallbearers will be Offie Cavenaugh, Willard Batts, George Price,
Earl Cavenaugh, Wilbur E. Price, James Cavenaugh, Wilbert Hanchey, Pearlie
Hanchley, Ross English, Levie Duff, Robert A. Batts, Robert Carr, Raymond
English and C. F. Hanchey.
