Robert Ellis Mercer, 74, retired farmer, Rt. 2, Beulaville, died Saturday. 
Funeral 2 p.m. Monday, Edgerton Funeral Chapel in Beulaville. 
Burial, Lanier Cemetery, Rt. 2, Beulaville.
Surviving: widow, Mrs. Maria Lanier Mercer; daughters, Mrs. Margaret 
Simpson of Beulaville and Mrs. Minnie Fountain of Richlands; sisters, 
Mrs. Fannie Lanier and Mrs. Bessie Hunter of Beulaville and Mrs. Gertrude 
Sanford of Hillsborough; brother, George Mercer of Jacksonville; four 
grandchildren.
Mr. Mercer was the son of the late Fred and Minnie Lanier Mercer and a 
member of the Free Will Baptist denomination.
