Obituary of Raeford Earl Brown ~ 1984

Wallace - Mr. Raeford Earl Brown, age 63, of Route 3, Wallace, died Sunday 
night in Duplin General Hospital in Kenansville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Edgerton Funeral 
Chapel conducted by the Rev. Donald Coley. Burial will follow in Riverview 
Memorial Park near Watha.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lena Register Brown; one son, Dean 
Earl Brown of Wallace; two sisters, Miss Hilda Brown of Wallace and Mrs. 
Kathleen Lovland of Havelock and two grandchildren.
A native of Duplin County, Mr. Brown was the son of the late Lucian and 
Rosa Southerland Brown.
He was a retired painter. He was a member of the Wallace American Legion 
Post No. 156 and was a member of the Island Creek Baptist Church.
Casketbearers will be Bobby Brown, Jerrell Brown, Ronnie Judge, Doug Judge,
Harry Bradshaw and Joe Bradshaw.
The family received at the funeral home from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Monday and 
will be at their residence, Route 3, Wallace other times.
