Obituary of Pauline Cavenaugh Carter Mozingo ~ 1998

Pikeville -- Pauline Mozingo died Saturday at Wake Medical Center in 
Raleigh.
The funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 11 at Shackleford Funeral 
Chapel in Fremont. Interment will be in Pikeville Cemetery.
Mrs. Mozingo was bon May 15, 1913, in Lenoir County, and was a daughter 
of the late John and Betty Carter of Kinston. She was a member of Faro 
Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church and was a resident of Rose 
Vista of Goldsboro.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie; daughter, Margaret 
Overman of Fremont; grandchildren, Linwood Earl Gurley and Pat Teachey; 
and great-grandchildren, Eric Ezzell and David Avery Overman.
Surviving are daughters, Ruby Gurley of Goldsboro, Dorothy Langston of 
Stantonsburg, Louise Bissette and her husband E.C. of Pikeville, Joann 
Teachey and her husband Willie of Pikeville, and Jean Martin and her 
husband Hugh of Nipoma, Calif.; a son, Kenneth Mozingo and his wife Tina 
of Elm City; and 26 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, and 18 
great-great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 until 8:30 p.m. At 
other times they will be at the home of Willie and JoAnn Teachey at 202 
S. Mill Street in Pikeville.
