Obituary of Paul Marsdon Cavenaugh ~ 1993

Wallace - Mr. Paul Marsdon Cavenaugh, age 90, of Route 3, Wallace, died 
unexpectedly Friday night, Jan. 15.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 18, from the 
Northeast Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Willard 
Hardison and Rev. Buster Price. Burial will follow in the Cavenaugh 
Cemetery.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Annie C. Lanier and husband, James of 
Richmond, Va.; two sons, Billy H. Cavenaugh and wife, Evelene and Joseph J.
Cavenaugh and wife Judy both of Wallace; eight grandchildren; and nine 
great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Mrs. Ethel English 
Cavenaugh.
A native of Duplin County, Mr. Cavenaugh was the son of the late Joseph J. 
and Patsy Mallard Cavenaugh. He was a retired farmer and a member of 
Northeast Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church.
Casketbearers will be Warren Cavenaugh, Larry Lanier, Ricky Kelley, Murphy 
Drew, Charles Powell, Alten Lee and Larry Platteel. Honorary pallbearers 
will be Phillip McClung, Duncan Cavenaugh, Bradley Sanderson, Mack Raynor 
and Russell Stokes.
The family will receive at the Padgett Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. 
Sunday and will be at Mr. Cavenaugh's residence, Route 3, Wallace other 
times.
The body will remain at the funeral home until 9:30 a.m. Monday when it 
will be taken to the church to lie in state one hour prior the service.
