Norman Whitmore Smith, age 90, died Sunday, September 3, 2006. 
Funeral was held Tuesday, September 5 at Pink Hill Funeral Home followed 
by visitation. 
Burial was Wednesday, September 6 at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. 
Survived by: wife, Irene O. Smith of Albertson; daughter, Ann Lane and 
husband Clark of LaGrange; daughter-in-law, Gail G Smith of Raleigh; 3 
sons, Braxton Smith and wife Debbie of Pink Hill, Boyce Smith of Kinston, 
and Steven Smith and wife Kim of Albertson; sister, Joyce Howard of Surf 
City; brother Robert S Smith of Jacksonville; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-
grandchildren.
