Rites Wednesday For Mrs. Sholar
Funeral services for Mrs. P. E. Sholar, 48, who died Tuesday morning at
11:10 after a long illness, were held from the home in Wallace on Wednesday
afternoon at 3:00 o'clock. Services were conducted by the Rev. King Brown.
Burial followed in the Cavanaugh Cemetery near Northeast on the Chinquapin-
Wallace highway.
Mrs. Sholar had been a resident of Wallace for two years, moving here from
the Chinquapin community. She was a member of the Island Creek Baptist
church. She had been in bed for weeks.
Mrs. Sholar is survived by her husband, three sons, Willie Exum, Daniel
Edward and Raleigh W., all of Wallace; two daughters, Annie Helen and
Kathleen of Wallace; her father, D. E. Blanton of Rose Hill; one sister,
Mrs. Edward Bland of Rose Hill; and one grandson, Jimmie Edward.
Active pallbearers were Winfred Sholar, Roland James, Edward Sholar, Almon
James, Walter and Lummie Blanton.
