Obituary of Mattie Christine Cavenaugh Buck ~ 1978

Mrs. Mattie Cavanaugh Buck, 75, of 1899 [?] Andrew St., died Wednesday 
afternoon in Duke University Medical Center after a long illness.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Clements Funeral Chapel 
by the Rev. Toby Stone. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Buck was a native of Craven County and had lived in Durham for the 
past 50 years. She was a housewife and a member of Bethesda Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, William Dewey Buck Sr.; three daughters, Mrs. 
Bobbie B. LaCock of Winston-Salem, Mrs. Peggy B. Regan of Gibsonville and 
Mrs. Christine B. Martin of Durham; two sons, William Jesse Buck and Dewey 
Buck Jr., both of Durham; six grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren and 
one great-grandchild.
