Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Rogers Padgett ~ 1962

Mrs. Mary E. Padgett of Wallace 76, widow of the late Walter V. Padgett 
died Saturday afternoon in James Walker Memorial Hospital in Wilmington.
Funeral services were held at Oak Dale Freewill Baptist Church Monday 
afternoon at 3:00 by Rev. K. D. Brown of Burgaw assisted by Rev. Aubrey 
Carter of Wallace. Burial followed in the Powell Family Cemetery near the 
home.
She is survived by one sister Mrs. Emily Padgett of Wallace, three brothers
John Rogers of Elizabeth City, Heath of Goldsboro, and Kirby Rogers of 
Wallace, and several nieces and nephews.
