Obituary of Mary Ruth Stroud Hare ~ 2004

KENANSVILLE -- Mary Ruth Stroud Hare, 83, of 103 Goshen Mobile Home Park 
Lane, died Wednesday morning at her home.
A funeral service will be held Friday, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Tyndall 
Funeral Home in Mount Olive. The Reverends Ronnie Ezzell, Jerry Wayne 
Ezzell and George Tucker will officiate. 
Burial will be in the Pate Cemetery.
Mrs. Hare was the daughter of the late William A. and Fannie Westbrook 
Stroud. She was a retired employee of the former Young Squire Industries. 
She was the widow of Willie James Hare, and was also preceded in death by 
a sister, Carrie Mae Whitfield; and two grandsons, Gerald Best and Wesley 
Sanderson Jr.
She is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret and Billy Ray 
Newsome of Goldsboro, Gloria and Dexter Southerland of Kenansville, Diane 
and James Frederick of Wallace, and Mary Frances and Buddy Whaley of 
Magnolia; 24 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-
grandchildren.
The family will be at Tyndall Funeral Home today from 7 until 9 p.m. and 
at the home at other times.
