Mary V. Artis, 58

WARSAW — Mrs. Mary V. Artis, 58, of 1630 Lanefield Road, died Tuesday 
March 6, 2012 at her home.

A home going service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday March 11, at Andrews 
Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Gerald Underwood 
officiating. 
Burial will be held at the Rosehill Cemetery in Linden, N.J. Tuesday, 
March 13, 2 p.m.

Mrs. Artis was born Aug. 27, 1953 in Kings, N.Y. to the late Mary Dykes 
and John Bowers.

She was preceded in death by two grandchildren; twins, Sinaa and Anis Smith.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Robert Ray Artis of the 
home; two sons, George Bowers of New York and TySheem Bell of Warsaw; one 
daughter, Shalonda Mitchell of New York.

A public viewing will be held from 2-5 p.m. with the family present from 
5-6 p.m. Saturday March 10, at Hope Valley Funeral Service & Cremation, 
1275 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton, NC 28328.
