Wallace - Marion Bryant "Speed" Cavenaugh, 57, died Tuesday evening in
Duplin General Hospital in Kenansville.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 3 p.m. from Sharon Baptist Church in
Chinquapin, conducted by the Rev. Phillip Denton. Burial will follow in
Sharon Church Cemetery.
Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Butler Cavanaugh.
A native of Duplin County, he was the son of Marion Butler and Annie
Landen Cavanaugh and a member of Sharon Baptist Church.
Casketbearers will be Bobby Landen, Robert Greene, Billy Meadows, Chip
Jordan, Jimmy Cavanaugh, and Ronnie Cavanaugh.
Honorary bearers will be W.M. Rivenbark, Garland King, Finley Carr, Homer
James, N.P. Blanchard, Thomas Cavanaugh, Earl Cavanaugh, George Frank
Landen and the Deacons of Sharon Baptist Church.
Visitation may be made at Edgerton Funeral Home in Wallace until 1 p.m.
Tuesday when the body will be taken to the church.
