Macon Cavenaugh Succumbs Firday, Funeral Sunday 

Macon Cavanaugh, prominent retired Rose Hill businessman, died at his home 
there Friday night at the age of 76.
Funeral services were held at the Rose Hill Free Will Baptist Church at 
3:30 Sunday p.m. The Rev. A. H. Carter, assisted by the Rev. Austin 
Wheeler and Rev. Vance Rich of Garland, officiated. Burial was held in the 
Cavanaugh Cemetery in North East Township.
He is survived by his widow; five daughters, Mrs. Grace Fussell, 
Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. F. A. Anastasio of New Orleans, La., Mrs. Nick 
Pagano, Long Island, N. Y., Mrs. J. C. Christian, Jr., Wilmington, and 
Mrs. C. J. Holmes of Angolia, Ind.; four sons, M. Q. Cavanaugh, 
Wilmington, E. D. of Baltimore, A. R. and Bobby of Rose Hill; four 
sisters, Mrs. Dora Teachey of Rose Hill, Mrs. Lillian Alexandria, 
Whiteville, Mrs. Nellie Hanchey, Richmond, Va., and Mrs. Kate Teachey of 
Watha.
