Obituary of Lula Anderson Wallace Stroud ~ 1973

Wallace - Mrs. Lula Wallace Stroud, age 80, died Wednesday in Duplin 
General Hospital in Kenansville.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Edgerton Funeral 
Chapel conducted by the Rev. William D. Sabiston III. 
Burial will follow in the Wallace Family Cemetery.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Nada Jarman of Jacksonville, Mrs. 
Vera 
Brock of Hazelwood and Mrs. Katherine Williams of Beulaville; two 
step-daughters, Mrs. Edith Mae Teachey of Rose Hill and Mrs. Hazel Moore 
of Anaheim, California; two sons, Rev. Clifton Wallace of Albemarle and 
R. B. Wallace of Portsmouth, Va.; one stepson, Donald Stroud of Westmont, 
Illinois; one sister, Mrs. Mildred Bullard Waynesville; 32 grandchildren 
and 27 great-grandchildren.
A native of Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late John Wright 
and Emma Cavenaugh, and the widow of the late Flade Stroud, and a member 
of the Wallace United Methodist Church.
The grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family will be at Mrs. Stroud's residence at 314 East Carr Street.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Edgerton Funeral Home in 
Wallace.
