Obituary of Lula Dixon Cavenaugh ~ 1961

Mrs. Lula Dixon Cavenaugh, 65, widow of the late William J. Cavenaugh of 
Rose Hill died early Friday morning in Duplin General Hospital at 
Kenansville after having been in declining health for the past several 
months.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at the Rose Hill 
Freewill Baptist Church with the services conducted by the Rev. J. B. 
Holden of Roseboro and Rev. Leonard Drews of Faison. Interment was in the 
Wallace Family Cemetery in the Pasture Branch Community of Duplin County, 
North Carolina.
She is survived by three daughters Mrs. L. L. Chapman of Richmond, Va., 
Mrs. Ernest Rooks of Watha and Mrs. Paul Garris of Rose Hill, eight grand
children and two great grand children. Three sisters Mrs. W. M. Martin of 
Wallace, Mrs. R. L. Flake of Clinton and Mrs. Donald Macon of Wilmington. 
Three brothers, Archie Dixon of Southport, Ed Dixon of Wallace and Robert 
Dixon of Beulaville.
