Mrs. Lucy Dickson Pearsall Evans Moved to Lone Star States in 1893.

Fayetteville, Jan. 1. News of the death of a former highly esteemed resident of this county has been received here by relatives. The deceased was Mrs. Lucy D. Evans of Livingston, TX., wife of Capt. James S. Evans, a prominent citizen of that place. Captain and Mrs. Evans moved from this county to Texas in 1893. Mrs. Evans was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pearsall, of Sampson County. She leaves four sons and five daughters. There are many relatives and friends of the deceased in this county, where she lived for 27 years.

Note:Lucy Dickson Pearsall Evans was born 24 Oct 1848 in Duplin County, NC, the daughter of Robert James M. Pearsall and Eleanor Torrans. On 30 Oct 1866, in Clinton, Sampson County, NC; she married Captain James Smith Evans of Fayetteville, Cumberland Co, NC.
