Mrs. Carter Succumbs At 71 

Mrs. Lucy Jane Batchelor Carter, 71, of Warsaw died at home Wednesday 
morning after a lingering illness.
Funeral services were held Friday at 1:30 p. m. in the Community Funeral 
Home Chapel by the Rev. Stephen Smith. 
Burial was in Devotional Gardens Cemetery near Warsaw.
Surviving are her husband, Rudolph Carter of the home; three daughters, 
Genevieve Carter of the home, Shirley Stephens of Fayetteville, Anne 
Larson of Watervalley, Miss., two sons, Jimmy Carter of Atlanta, Ga., and 
Harvey Carter of Niceville, Fla.; eight grandchildren, one great-
grandchild.
Visitation was at Community Funeral Home until the time of the service.
