Obituary of Lillie Mae Kirks Carter ~ 1970

Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie Kirks Carter, 78, a Selma housewife of 
911 W. Waddell Street, were held Tuesday at the Selma Church of God. The 
Rev. Joseph E. Hayes and the Rev. Herbert F. Carter presided.
Interment followed at the Crocker Cemetery on Route 3, Selma.
A member of the Church of God, she is survived by:
Six daughters -- Mrs. Charles McGinnis, St. Petersburg, Florida; Mrs. 
Johnny W. Brown, Selma; Mrs. Frank Komlemic, Pittsburg, Pa.; Mrs. Nelson 
Wheeler, Indianapolis, Indianna; Mrs. Linwood Moye, Bradenton, Florida; 
Mrs. Mitchell Rabil, Smithfield.
Four sons -- Dr. William Howard Carter, Goldsboro; Woodrow W., of 
Smithfield; Loomis of Wilmington; and Herbert of Fayetteville; two 
sisters -- Mrs. Rabie Futch of Selma and Mrs. Mertie Davis of Rt. 3 
Smithfield; one brother -- Oscar Kirks of Rt. 3 Smithfield; and eleven 
grandchildren.
