Wallace - Lillian Mobley English, 87, of Rt. 3, Wallace, died Tuesday 
night in Guardian Care Nursing Home, Kenansville, after a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Northeast 
Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Clyde Shelton and 
Rev. Hill Teachey Jr. Burial will follow in the Cavenaugh Cemetery, Rt. 
3, Wallace.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Albert (Mildred) Pierce of Wallace, 
and Mrs. Walter (Hazel) Frankoff of Wilmington; one son, William Thomas 
English of Portsmouth, Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Teachey of 
Kenansville, and Mrs. Earlie Farmer of Pulaski, Va.; six grandchildren; 
11 great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A native of Duplin County, Mrs. English was the daughter of the late J.T. 
and Sarah Carter Mobley, and was the widow of Carmer English. She was a 
member of the Northeast Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church.
Casketbearers will be James Englis, Norman English, Sam Mobley, George 
Price, Larry Kelley and Homer English.
The family will receive at the Edgerton Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. 
Thursday, and will be at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Pierce, 
Rt. 2, Wallace other times.
The body will remain at the funeral home until noon Friday, when it will 
be taken to the church to lie in state one hour prior to the service.
