Leslie Lanier, Chinquapin, Dies 

Chinquapin, Oct. 21 - Leslie William Lanier, 46, died in his home here 
this morning after a long illness.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in the home by the 
Rev. K. D. Brown of Burgaw and the Rev. Johnnie Durham of Wallace. 
Burial will be in the Lanier family cemetery.
He is survived by his widow, three daughters, Sylvia, Mae and Linda, all 
of the home; his father, Hosea Bryant Lanier of Chinquapin; four brothers, 
Lonnie of Warsaw, Carl of Wallace, James of Gastonia, and Clayton of 
Honolulu; and two sisters, Mrs. Ed Raynor of Wallace and Mrs. Otis Wells 
of Watha.
