Leslie Batts, 49, Succumbs On Tues. 

Leslie Batts, age 49 of Magnolia died last Tuesday in the James Walker 
Hospital in Wilmington after a brief illness.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock at the 
home by Rev. T. W. McNeeley, pastor of the Magnolia Baptist church of which
he was a member. Burial was in the Magnolia cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nellie Bradshaw Batts, two daughters, Sue 
and Shelby Batts all of the home, one son, Leslie Batts, his father, J. T. 
Batts both of the home community, three brothers, Ralph Batts of Durham, 
Shelton and Alton Batts both of Palm Beach, Fla., four sisters, Mrs. J. A.
Wilson, Mrs. J. W. Evans, Mrs. Ella Wilson all of Magnolia and Mrs. Worth 
Potter of Goldsboro.
