Obituary of Katie B Maready Lanier ~ 1971

Beulaville - Mrs. Katie Maready Lanier, 83, of Rt. 2, Beulaville, died 
Tuesday night in Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:30 p. m. from Edgerton Funeral 
Chapel in Beulaville by the Rev. Mrs. Sadie Ball. 
Burial will follow in the Lanier Family Cemetery near the home.
Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Roy Brown, Mrs. Ellis Mercer, Mrs. 
Elbert Sandlin, all of Beulaville, Mrs. Sam Setzer, of Chandler, Mrs. O. 
T. Marshburn of Richlands, and Mrs. Ralph Thompson of Pine Level; three 
sons, Ellis, Albert and Jessie Lanier, all of Beulaville; 29 grandchildren 
and 55 great-grandchildren.
A native of Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late William and 
Barbara Cavenaugh Maready and the widow of the late Spious Lanier.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
