Obituary of Joshua Dawson "Babe" Padrick ~ 1962

Joshua Dawson "Babe" Padrick, 35, died in a local hospital at 9:10 p. m. 
Friday after a brief illness. 
He was a well-known farmer of the Woodington section and a veteran of 
World War 2. Funeral services will be held from the chapel at Garner's 
Funeral Home at 4 p. m. Sunday and interment will follow in Pinelawn 
Memorial Park. Rev. Albert M. Rollins, Free Will Baptist of Dover, will 
officiate. 
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Marjorie Grady Paderick of the home; one 
son, Donald Earl of the home; two daughters, Patsy Carol and Debra Jane 
of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. Y. Paderick of Kinston Route 4; 
six brothers, N. C. of Kinston Route 4, Terry of Dover Route 1, Leo of 
Troutville, Va., C. D. and C. Y. Jr., both of Portsmouth, Va., and Elwood 
of LaGrange; three sisters, Mrs. W. E. Preast of Kinston, Mrs. T. H. Mason 
of Raleigh and Mrs. Don Mayes of Tulsa, Okla. 
Active pallbearers will be Felix Aldridge, Billy M. Paderick, Billy 
Preast, Vernon Grady, James Grady, Linwood Minter, Jeffery Paderick and 
C. F. Grady.
