Wallace - Jody Wilson Lanier, 72, Rt. 1, Chinquapin, died Thursday in 
Duplin General Hospital in Kenansville.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p. m. from Edgerton Funeral 
Chapel with the Rev. William Wallace officiating, assisted by the Rev. 
K. D. Brown. Burial will be in the Lanier Cemetery at Lyman.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Josephine Jarman, of Richlands, Mrs. 
Edna Hatcher of Chinquapin, Mrs. Dessie Williams and Mrs. James Edwards 
of Beulaville; two sons, Jesse of Wallace and J. W. Lanier of Rose Hill; 
one stepson, Tim Aikens of Portsmouth, Va.; four sisters, Mrs. Bessie 
Bradham, Mrs. Minnie Sloan and Mrs. Bertie Hatcher, all of Chinquapin and 
Mrs. Ada Brown of Wallace; one brother, John Edward Lanier of Burgaw; 13 
grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers will be L. C. Bradham, Earl Hatcher, Gordon Sloan, 
Gurman Lanier, Leon Hatcher and Tracy Lanier.
