Duplin Native Succumbs At 54 

Jesse A. Rivenbark, 54, of 318 MacMilian Avenue, Wilmington, died Tuesday 
morning at the Cape Fear Memorial Hospital following a short illness.
Born in Duplin County he was the son of the late Thomas Jackson and Mrs. 
Ludie Anne Cavenaugh Rivenbark, a member of the Winter Park Presbyterian 
Church, a member of the Woodmen of the World, a member of the Loyal Order 
of the Moose, Wilmington Lodge, and the Brotherhood of Maintenance of 
Ways. He was a retired employee of the Seaboard-Coastline Railroad.
Funeral services were held today (Thursday) at 3:30 p.m. from Coble's 
Oleander Chapel, with the Rev. Neil M. McMillian officiating. 
Burial was in the Prospect Cemetery.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Dorothy Klander Rivenbark of the home, 
three sons, Jesse Thomas Rivenbark, Wilmington, William Graham Rivenbark 
of the home, and Earnest David Rivenbark of Bolivia; one daughter, Mrs.
Preston L. (Dorothy Linda) Williamson III of Columbia, S.C.; three 
brothers, Alton Rivenbark, Thurman Rivenbark, and Elwood Rivenbark, all 
of Wilmington; two sisters, Mrs. Marshall Foster, Wilmington, and Mrs. 
Bliss English of Wallace; eight grandchildren.
