Obituary of Jasper Gaylord "Jack" Carter ~ 1969

Jasper Gaylord "Jack" Carter, 83, of 1619 Trogdon St. died Tuesday in 
Wesley Long Hospital. A native of Rose Hill, he worked for Southern 
Railway for 37 years before retirement. He was a member of the 
Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen and the Glenwood United Methodist Church.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Street Chapel.
Survivors are widow, Mrs. Isabelle Rose Carter; daughter, Mrs. W. D. 
Kellan of Greenboro; sons, Hubert S. Cater of Knoxville, Tenn., L. Howard 
Carter of Wilmington and Jack T. Carter of Eden; sisters, Mrs. Lonnie 
Humphrey of Kinston, Mrs. James F. Mohn of Richlands and Mrs. Leone Miller 
of Wilmington.
