Wallace - Mr. James Julius Cavenaugh, age 66, died unexpectedly Saturday
night at his home Rt. 2, Wallace. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11
a.m. from the Edgerton Funeral Chapel in Wallace conducted by the Rev.
Billy Toler. Burial will follow in the Cavenaugh Cemetery, Rt. 2, Wallace.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eva Hanchey Cavenaugh; one son, Bobby D.
Cavenaugh of the home; two grandsons, Tommy Durral Cavenaugh and Bob Scott
Cavenaugh both of Wallace; his mother, Mrs. Cora Brown Cavenaugh of
Wallace; two sisters, Mrs. Norman (Virginia) Hanchey and Mrs. Sam (Louise)
Hardison both of Wallace; four brothers, Mr. Vernon Cavenaugh and Rifton
Cavenaugh both of Wallace, Raymond Cavenaugh of Richmond Va. and Leon
Cavenaugh of Forestville, Md.
A native of Duplin County, Mr. Cavenaugh was the son of Cora Brown and the
late Gaylor Cavenaugh, also he was a farmer.
Castbearers [sic] will be Thurman Hardison, Gerald Hanchey, Earl Hanchey,
Robin Hanchey, Tony Cavenaugh, and Eris Roust [sic].
Honorary pallbearers will be Rodney Hanchey, Henry Hanchey, Dewey English,
Raymond E. Cavenaugh, Thomas Cavenaugh, Raymond English, R.H. Lanier,
William F.Brown, Milton Parker and Norwood Cavenaugh.
The family will receive at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and
will be at their residence other times. An Edgerton Service.
