Richland - James Elbert Wood, Rt.1, Pink Hill, died Feb. 15. Funeral 
services Saturday at 2 p.m. from the New River Holiness Church with the 
Rev. Eddie Kennedy officiating. 
Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary C. Wood of the home, six step-
daughters, Mrs. Roldolph Quinn of Pink Hill, Mrs. Mance Hewitt, Mrs. 
Frank Turner of Jacksonville, Mrs. Clayton Schindler of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. 
Thomas A. Smith of Holland Patent, N.Y., Mrs. Avery Clark of Toulon, Ill., 
two stept-sons, Dexter Brown of Cincinnati and Delmas Brown of Dover. Four 
brothers also survive, Leroy, Clarence, Howard, and Bobby Wood, three 
sisters, Margaret Baysden of South Carolina, Doris Blackman of Wallace, 
Francis Merritt of Clinton and 29 step-grandchildren.
He was a veteran of World War II.
The body will be at the Johnson's Funeral Home until the service.
