Haw Branch Man Passed Thursday 

James Kinsey Carter, 81, Prominent Farmer, Buried On Friday Afternoon 

Richlands, July 30. -- James Kinsey Carter, 81-year-old resident and 
prominent farmer of the Haw Branch section, near Richlands, died at his 
home Thursday night at eleven o'clock.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the home, 
with Rev. Ivy T. Poole, pastor of the Methodist church here, in charge of 
the last rites. Burial followed in the family cemetery at Haw Branch.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Ellen Carter, and three daughters, Mrs. W. 
B. Carter, Mrs. W. H. Edwards, and Mrs. L. Straughn, all of Beulaville, 
and one son, J B. Carter, of Richlands.
