James O. Barefoot Sr., 69

FAISON — Mr. James Owen Barefoot Sr., 69, died Thursday, March 8, 2012.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, March 10 at Newton Grove 
Baptist Church with the Rev. Brett Cody officiating. 
Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Mr. Barefoot is survived by his wife, Loretta G. Barefoot; sons and 
daughters-in-law, James Owen and Rita Barefoot Jr. of Cary, Blake G. and 
Deborah M. Barefoot of Wilmington; grandchildren, Zeke, Maggie, Ava, 
Bradley, Blair and Bailey Barefoot.

Mr. Barefoot is a former Sunday school superintendent, trustee, teacher 
and a curretn deacon. He is also a 32 degree Mason and a shriner.

The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, March 9 from 6 to 
8 p.m.
