Obituary of Jacob W Batts ~ 1957

Wallace, Aug. 30-Jacob W. Batts, 77, died at his home on Rt. 2, here 
Thursday after a prolonged illness.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 3 p.m. in North East 
Baptist Church. The Rev. A. H. Carter will be in charge of the services. 
Burial will follow in Cavenaugh Cemetery. The body will be taken to the 
church one hour prior to the services.
Mr. Batts is survived by three children Marion W. Batts of Sardina, Ohio, 
Mrs. Elsie B. Luther, of Wallace, Rt. 2, and Richard J. Batts, of 
Charlotte; a brother, Johnnie Batts; a sister, Mrs. Mary Lanier Batts, of 
Chinquapin; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
