Obituary of Izella Cavenaugh Wood ~ 1983

Wallace - Mrs. Izella Cavenaugh Wood, 93, of Route 3, Wallace, died
unexpectedly Saturday morning at her residence.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. from the Northeast
Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Elbert Hollowell and
Rev. Billy Toler.
Burial will follow in the Cavenaugh Cemetery, Route 2, Wallace.
She is survived by one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Shelby Wood Heath of Wallace;
two granddaughters, Mrs. Beverly Jones of Wallace and Miss Anita Wood of
Rose Hill; three grandsons, Joe Eddie Wood of Wallace, Marty Wood of
Hampton, Ga., and Timothy Wood of Rose Hill; one great-grandchild.
A native of Duplin County, Mrs. Wood was the daughter of the late William
David and Sarah Ann Mallard Cavenaugh and was the widow of John Thomas
Wood and was a lifelong member of Northeast Pentecostal Freewill Baptist
Church.
Casketbearers will be Ricky Wood, John David Cavenaugh, Aaron Cavenaugh,
David Wood, James Murray, and David Register.
The family will receive at the Edgerton Funeral Home in Wallace from 7 to
9 p.m. Sunday and will be at Mrs. Wood's residence other times.
The body will remain at the funeral home until 9 a.m. Monday when it will
be taken to the church to lie in state one hour prior to the service.
