Mrs. Irene Whaley Carlson Giddens, age 69, of 435 Doctors Creek Road, 
Willard, died Tuesday morning, Nov. 28, 1995, at Pender Memorial Hospital 
in Burgaw.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, Dec. 1, 1995, from the 
Watha Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Charles 
Mosley. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Park.
She is survived by her husband, Albert Oliver Giddens; three daughters, 
Mrs. Delores Markham of the home, Mrs. Iris Jane Jones and husband, 
Ronald, of Willard, and Mrs. Deborah Annette Giddens and husband, Jeff 
Neff, of West Chester, Ohio; one half sister, Mrs. Edna Salmon Horrell 
of Wallace; one half brother, Robert Salmon Jr. of Wallace; three 
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Born in Onslow County, Mrs. Giddens was the daughter of the late P.H. and 
Alavia Sanders Whaley and was a member of the Watha Pentecostal Freewill 
Baptist Church.
The family will receive at the Padgett Fuenral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. 
Thursday and will be at their residence, 435 Doctors Creek Road, Willard, 
other times.
