Obituary of Ida Mae Cavenaugh Guthrie ~ 2003

Mrs. Ida Mae Cavanaugh Guthrie, age 86, of Autumn Care Nursing Center, 
Wilmington, died Wednesday, July 16, 2003.
Mrs. Guthrie was born December 5, 1916 in Brunswick County and was the 
daughter of the late Jacob Woodley Cavanaugh and Fannie E. Lowhorn. 
She was wife of the late James Wendell Guthrie. Mrs. Guthrie was a member 
of Wrightsboro Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, James L. Guthrie and friend Dottie Watson of 
Wilmington, NC; three daughters, Faye Tate and husband Shelton of 
Wilmington, NC, Mary Burke and husband Phillip of Clinton, N.C., Nancy 
Register and husband Joe of Greensboro, NC; seven grandchildren, Ray Tate, 
James Tate, Melissa Canady, David Burke, Karen Holub, Scott Register and 
Brandon Guthrie; seven great-grandchildren, Ashley Tate, Jennifer Tate, 
Erin Canady, Morgan Canady, Justin Burke, Collin Register and Mira Register.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 19, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. at 
Wrightsboro Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Lewis and Rev. Keith Hollar 
officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearer will be William Jennings Bryan.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 this evening at Coble Ward-Smith 
Funeral Service, Oleander Chapel.
