Obituary of Herbert Hoover Carter ~ 1974

Funeral services for Herbert H. Carter, 46, of 1725 Ireland Drive, who 
died Wednesday, were held at 3 p.m. Friday at Grace Baptist Church by 
the Revs. Dwight Cooper and Herber F. Carter. 
Burial will be in Cross Creek Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jean Robert Carter of the home; one 
daughter, Miss Jeannine Lisa Carter of the home; five sisters, Mrs. 
Christine Wheeler of Indianapolis, Ind., Mrs. Ann Komlenic of Pittsburgh, 
Pa.; Mrs. Trudy Rabil of Smithfield, Mrs. Rachel E. Brown of Selma, Mrs. 
Leigh Moye of Fayetteville; three brothers, Loomis R. of Pine Bluff, 
Ark., Woodrow W. of Smithfield and Dr. William H. Carter of Goldsboro.
He was a Civil Service employee at Ft. Bragg and a member and past 
president of Fayetteville Moose Lodge No. 1770.
Active pallbearers will be nephews of the deceased. 
Honorary pallbearers will be Grace Baptist Church deacons.
