Obituary of Gaylor A Cavenaugh ~ 1970

Wallace - Gaylor A. Cavenaugh, 82, died Sunday in Simpson Memorial Hospital
at Clinton.
Mr. Cavenaugh was a native of Dupland County. He was the son of the late
Stephen and Martha Burton Cavenaugh. Mr. Cavenaugh was a retired farmer
and deacon of the Northeast Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Cora Brown Cavenaugh; two daughters, Mrs.
Norman Hanchey and Mrs. Sam Hardison of Wallace; five sons, James J.,
Rifdon, Vernon, and Wallace Cavenaugh of Richmond, Va., and Lynn Cavenaugh
of Washington, D. C.; one sister, Mrs. Kelly Faver of Richmond, Va.; 21
grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday from the Northeast Pentecostal
Freewill Baptist Church by the Rev. David Conert, the Rev. Vance Rich, and
the Rev. K. D. Brown.
Burial will be in the Covebay Cemetery, Route 2, Wallace.
Visitation can be made at the Edgerton Funeral Home at Wallace until 1
p.m. Tuesday. Pallbearers include Bobby, Michael, and Tommy Cavenaugh,
Thurman Hardison, and Emmitt and Earl Hanchey.
